Portfolio tracking
MARGIN
A Morningstar-style stock research and portfolio tracking platform I built to explore companies, research investments, and turn financial information into clearer analysis.
Atlanta raised · California student
Cal Poly student interested in finance and investing.
I grew up in Atlanta, Georgia, surrounded by conversations about finance at home, with my brother, mom, and dad all working in the field. When I arrived at Cal Poly, I joined every club I could to see where I fit best, and was ultimately led into the Investment Banking Club, not just for the work itself, but for the curiosity and drive of the people in it.

01 / What shapes me
I’m at my best when I am learning from people who push me to be better. Figure skating shaped that early in my life: I skated from age seven through my junior year of high school, both on a club team and for my school.
It taught me the value of surrounding yourself with people who are striving to improve and giving back to the communities that helped you grow.
At Cal Poly, my business fraternity has reinforced a version of that same lesson. It has shown me that professional ambition and genuine fun do not have to compete. Great communities make room for both.

02 / Following ideas
I’ve recently gotten really interested in how the Federal Reserve works and how its decisions flow through interest rates, inflation, and down into our lives. Reading The Lords of Easy Money has made me more curious about the tradeoffs behind monetary policy, and it has helped me understand the current economic state of the U.S.

04 / Perspective
Perspective
It taught me that meaningful work is often hands-on and unglamorous. To achieve the result you want, you need to be willing to put in the time and effort.
Patience
It taught me patience and that the world does not always work in your favor. You keep showing up and trying because being there gives you a chance to succeed. If you do not show up, that chance is zero.
Discipline
No one likes waking up for practice at 5:45 a.m. before school, but I went every day because six other girls on my team were willing to do it too. They wanted to push themselves and perform well. This taught me the importance of who you surround yourself with.
